Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is looking for a Power Systems Automation Engineer to join our team in beautiful Pullman, Washington !
In this role, you'll work with industry-leading automation technologies that help keep the lights on and critical infrastructure running around the world. From designing and implementing automation solutions to supporting customers through commissioning and beyond, you'll be a key contributor to projects that modernize and strengthen power systems.
What You'll Be Doing:
Design, configure, test, and commission automation and control systems
Partner with customers to deliver innovative solutions
Support power system integration, communications, and SCADA applications
Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality results
Contribute to technical proposals and customer-focused solutions
Travel and work with customers across a variety of industries and locations
We'd Love to Hear from You If You Have:
A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
An interest in power system automation, controls, integration, or communications
Knowledge of industrial networking, PLCs, SCADA systems, or industry protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3, or Modbus
A passion for learning, problem-solving, and working directly with customers
A willingness to travel approximately 25%

Pay Range Data
We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
