Associate Dean of Academic Operations and Human Resources (PartTime)Position OverviewThe Neohumanist College of Asheville (NHCA) seeks a collaborative and organized part- time team member to support academic coordination, on-boarding follow-through of faculty members, operational communications, and administrative organization across the institution.This role is designed to help reduce operational bottlenecks, strengthen communication continuity, and support implementation of existing institutional systems and processes within a small mission-driven educational nonprofit organization.The position is intentionally structured as a limited part-time hourly support role averaging 10 to 16 hours per week. The role is focused primarily on coordination, accountability follow-through with faculty members, communication support, and operational organization rather than those of comprehensive administrative leadership or institutional oversight. This position supports coordination and operational follow through and does not initially include formal supervisory or executive decision making authority.The Associate Dean works collaboratively with:NHCA President/CEOProgram DirectorsFaculty MembersTeaching AssistantsAdministrative StaffCore ResponsibilitiesAcademic Coordination SupportHelp coordinate academic meetings, follow-ups, and operational communications with Program  Directors and Faculty Members;Assist with tracking course readiness, on-boarding tasks, and academic timelines;Help ensure important action items and operational tasks do not fall through the cracks;Support organization of academic documents, systems, and work-flow tracking.Faculty and On-boarding SupportSupport faculty on-boarding and orientation processes;Help track on-boarding completion, required forms, and institutional documentation;Assist with communications related to faculty support and operational follow- through;Help coordinate reminders, scheduling, and accountability processes.Operational and Administrative SupportSupport implementation of existing institutional work-flows and operational systems;Assist with organizing meeting notes, timelines, and operational priorities;Help maintain consistency across recurring operational processes;Assist in identifying communication gaps or work-flow bottlenecks requiring attention.Executive Coordination SupportHelp reduce operational fragmentation by supporting communication continuity across initiatives;Assist the President/CEO in maintaining visibility on operational follow-through and institutional priorities;Help support accountability and coordination for ongoing projects and Desired QualificationsPreferred qualifications include:Strong organizational and communication skills;Ability to manage multiple follow-up tasks and timelines;Experience with educational, nonprofit, administrative, or operational coordination work;Collaborative and systems-oriented mindset;Comfort working in a small evolving organization;Alignment with the mission and values of Neohumanist education.Helpful but not required:Experience with online education systems;Experience with HR on-boarding systems or workflow coordination;Familiarity with nonprofit or educational organizations.Time Commitment and CompensationPart time hourly non-exempt employee position;10 to 16 hours per week, depending on institutional needs and approved workload capacity;Flexible and primarily remote;Compensation $25 per hour;Hours tracked and submitted weekly through institutional time-keeping systems;Additional hours beyond approved expectations require prior authorization;NHCA covers applicable employer payroll taxes and related employment costs.This role is intentionally designed as a focused operational support position with clearly limited scope and workload expectations appropriate to a part-time institutional support role.
