Tax Senior Associate | GeneralistEssential Functions and Primary DutiesContains advanced technical knowledge of accounting standards and reporting standards in researching, completing and reviewing technical areas.Addresses questions on technical accounting matters from team members and upper-level client managementHas intermediate to advanced level tax preparation skillsPerforms a detailed review of team's workflow and monitors tasks to ensure they are assigned and completed on a timely basisManages multiple assignments inside an engagementCommunicates with Partner, Manager and/or Supervising Senior on work status and client issues that ariseHas advanced knowledge of applicable accounting software (e.g. Axcess Tax, Engagement, SurePrep, etc.)Participates in planning and execution of client engagement in collaboration with the Manager and/or Partner on the jobIdentifies opportunities to leverage staff including designing staffing structure of engagementLeads small to medium sized assignments with finalized document and report requiring minimal change upon reviewTrains, supervises and mentors lower-level staffTakes a lead role in client and team meetings and contributes new ideas and strategic initiatives Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Accounting, Taxation or related fieldBachelor's degree with a preferred field of study in AccountingCPA eligible3+ years' or relevant work and industry experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently, but also work well with othersCPA license or on track to obtainSoftware Experience - CCH Axcess Tax, Microsoft Office 365Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferred2 years of experience in public accounting or related fieldCPA candidates preferredAbility to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessaryDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externallyProficient use of applicable technologyMust be able to travel based on client and business needs#LI-Onsite #LI-EM1ABOUT USCBIZ, Inc.
