Senior Software Engineer - Beacon SoftwareWe are an early-stage AI startup seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join us as a remote part-time contractor. This is initially a contract position with the intention to convert to a full-time/permanent role when possible.Who We're Looking ForExperience: Proven experience as a Software Engineer, preferably with a background in early-stage startups or similar dynamic settings.Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python and Django is required. Experience with Next.js and HTMX is highly desired.Testing: Experience with and commitment to automated testing is a must.Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required to work effectively with our team.Commitment: The initial commitment is for 3 months at an estimated 20 hours per week, with the possibility of a growing commitment over time. We intend this role to be converted to a full-time/permanent position at the conclusion of the contract.Availability: We prefer working hours that overlap with U.S. Eastern Time to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.The RoleYou will collaborate closely with our full-time engineering team on emerging products and client solutions.
