Patent Docket Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Patent Docket Specialist to support our Intellectual Property team. You will play a critical role in maintaining accurate docketing records, ensuring deadlines are met, and supporting attorneys and staff with patent and trademark prosecution matters. Key responsibilities include:Docket incoming USPTO and foreign filings accurately, maintaining historical notes and ensuring risk management.Manage correspondence, investigate discrepancies in due dates, and resolve issues proactively.Act as a resource for attorneys and staff, providing guidance on docketing standards and procedures.Review outgoing filings, forecast next actions, and maintain accurate docket records.Generate and customize docket reports for internal teams and clients.Participate in periodic docket audits and special projects, proposing process improvements to reduce risk.Maintain the highest level of accuracy under critical deadlines and prioritize work effectively.About YouMinimum 5 years of patent docketing experience preferred.Exceptional organizational and analytical skills; strong attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.Excellent communication skills with the ability to exchange information clearly and concisely.Proactive, solution-oriented, and team-focused approach.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
