Why We Start Here This position starts as a 1099 contractor, and we want to tell you why. Dark Current Electric is a growing company that's gaining momentum. Our workload continues to increase, but we're not yet at the point where we can honestly guarantee a consistent full-time schedule. Rather than promise something we can't deliver, we'd rather be honest from the beginning. As the company grows and consistent work becomes available, our goal is to transition the right people into full-time W-2 positions. We're not looking for temporary help. Responsibilities · Assist with residential and commercial electrical installations, service work, and troubleshooting. · Learn proper installation techniques while following company standards and applicable codes. · Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to work each day. · Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. · Take care of company tools, equipment, and customer property. · Ask questions when you're unsure rather than guessing. · Learn from feedback and continuously improve your skills. · Represent Dark Current Electric professionally on every jobsite. Minimum Qualifications · At least one year of experience as an electrical helper, OR current enrollment in (or graduation from) a recognized electrical training or apprenticeship program. · A demonstrated commitment to pursuing electrical as a long-term career. · Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. · Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds. · Ability to climb ladders and perform physical work in indoor and outdoor environments. · Dependable attendance and punctuality. · Professional communication skills. · Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and continuously improve. Preferred · OSHA 10 certification. · CPR / First Aid certification. · Ability to read and interpret basic electrical drawings and blueprints.
