We are seeking a UI Engineer to join our Global Trading Applications team in New York.This role will support one of two major firmwide initiatives: Control Center or CitSec OMS—platforms that strengthen internal control frameworks, modernize trading workflows, and consolidate complex systems into seamless, high-performance user experiences.You will work directly with traders, business control, surveillance, regulatory operations, and backend engineering teams to design and deliver scalable, real-time applications used across the firm.ResponsibilitiesDesign and build complex, workflow-driven user interfaces using TypeScript and ReactDevelop scalable front-end architecture for large-scale trading and control systemsIntegrate UI components with backend services written in C++, Python, and real-time data systems (e.g., KDB+/Q)Translate sophisticated trading and compliance workflows into intuitive, high-performance user experiencesDrive performance optimization, maintainability, and architectural consistency across applicationsCollaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business-critical enhancementsQualificationsStrong expertise in TypeScript and ReactExpertise building and maintaining tooling for TypeScript projects (e.g., build systems, testing frameworks, developer workflows)Experience building large-scale, production-grade front-end applicationsDeep understanding of UI architecture, state management, and performance optimizationExperience integrating with distributed or real-time backend systemsProduct-oriented mindset: able to work directly with business users, gather requirements, and deliver practical, scalable solutionsUX expertise: experience designing intuitive applications that distill complex, real-time data into clear, actionable user experiences, with a strong focus on user productivityAbility to operate effectively in environments without dedicated UI design supportStrong communication skills and ability to work directly with business usersExperience in financial services, trading systems, or complex workflow platforms is a plusWhy Join UsBuild systems used directly by trading and control teams in global marketsWork on high-impact platforms that modernize and consolidate critical workflowsCollaborate with top-tier engineers and business stakeholdersSolve technically challenging problems in real-time, high-performance environments
