We are seeking a motivated scientist/engineer to drive R&D and commercialization of perovskite materials and devices for a postdoctoral research associate position. The role combines hands-on lab work—from ink formulation and device fabrication to module integration—with contributions to funding proposals, partnerships, and patent generation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment, balancing deep technical expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset. The work will be carried out in Dr. Mahesh Gangishetty’s lab at Mississippi State University and under his supervision.Key Responsibilities:Develop and optimize perovskite inks for solar and optoelectronic applications.Design, fabricate, and characterize devices and modules, advancing from prototypes to scalable solutions.Investigate device physics and performance limitations through advanced characterization methods.Establish and maintain metrology and reliability testing for quality control and long-term stability of the materials and devices.Contribute to grant applications, technical reports, and patentable innovations.Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support commercial scale-up.Qualifications and Requirements:PhD (preferred) or Master’s in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, or related fields.Strong expertise in perovskite solar cells, device physics, or thin-film semiconductors.Hands-on experience with solution processing (e.g., slot-die, blade, spin, or roll-to-roll coating).Knowledge of nanofabrication and electrical characterization of devices.Familiarity with module integration is a plus but not required (laser scribing, encapsulation, interconnects).Strong writing skills for patents, grant proposals, and technical reports.Ability to work independently and adapt to the dynamic demands of a start-up.Ability to legally work in United States. We do not sponsor H-1B visas.Compensation Package:Salary Range: $47K-$55K.Profits Interest Awards: Negotiable.Comprehensive health insurance package.2 weeks of paid time-off and 2 weeks of unpaid sick leave.
