The Project Engineer specializes in drinking water and wastewater systems, leading the technical design, analysis, and delivery of water infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include managing design teams, coordinating with clients and contractors, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality, and guiding field activities from feasibility through commissioning. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility does not preclude assigning duties not listed herein if such duties and responsibilities are a logical assignment to the position.Position RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical EngineeringAbility to interact professionally with internal teams, clients, and contractorsStrong written and verbal communication skillsCapable of multitasking across different project tasks and deadlinesAbility to lead and develop a team of engineers and techniciansPreferred QualificationsEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred; pursuit of P.E. or equivalent licensure encouraged4+ years of experience in drinking water and/or wastewater engineering, including design, construction, and environmental design, as well as all aspects of project development, including budgeting and administrative issues with a projectUnderstanding of treatment processes (drinking water treatment and wastewater treatment)Proficiency with hydraulic and process modeling software (WaterCAD/WaterGEMS/SewerCAD, or similar)Experience with design software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GISFOR MORE INFORMATIONFor more information regarding our firm and/or this position, please visit the Spicer Group website at www.spicergroup.com.
