Adjunct Instructor – Medical and Health Services Management (All Subjects) The Adjunct Faculty in Healthcare Management will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, engaging instruction in healthcare management courses to undergraduate and/or graduate students. This part‑time adjunct role is fully online and offers flexible scheduling for professionals who wish to share their expertise while maintaining their own practice or career. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement curriculum for assigned courses. Prepare course materials and conduct lectures and discussions. Assess student learning and provide timely feedback. Mentor and guide students, fostering a collaborative educational environment. Maintain an effective learning environment in online modalities. Course Selection Law and Ethics Principles of Health Care Management Long‑Term Care Administration U.S. Health Care Delivery Leadership for Health Care Organizations Health Care Information Technology Human Resources Public and Community Health Management Financial Management for Health Care Management Statistics for Healthcare Managers Required Education All faculty members must meet Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) credential standards, which typically require a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline. Transcripts, certificates, and/or licenses must be submitted with the application. Required Experience Strong background related to the selected course(s). Professional and/or teaching experience in healthcare management. Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education (strongly preferred). Courses are specifically to be taught online. Preferred Education Terminal degree in Healthcare Management or related field. Preferred Experience Prior experience in developing online courses, using learning management systems such as Blackboard or Moodle, and implementing blended or hybrid instructional strategies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Teaching courses in the approved discipline; providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of specific learning outcomes; mentoring students in and outside of the classroom; creating and maintaining an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned; adhering to college policies and procedures. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to instruct in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and dual‑credit courses; ability to achieve course objectives; ability to create a professional learning environment; effective communication with students, personnel, and public groups; commitment to treating all persons with respect, dignity, and justice; adherence to highest professional and ethical standards; observance of college policies.
