DescriptionLead Mission-Critical Cloud Infrastructure for National DefensePrime Solutions Group (PSG) is seeking experienced Staff DevOps Engineers to support a major engineering powerhouse driving some of the Department of Defense’s most critical missions. In this senior role, you will architect, evolve, and sustain secure, scalable, and highly automated cloud and DevSecOps ecosystems that power next-generation digital engineering and defense platforms. Your deep expertise will directly advance U.S. national security and enable mission success across the DoD.You will join a high-performing, innovation-driven team where your leadership in automation, cloud architecture, AWS, Kubernetes, and secure pipeline engineering will shape resilient solutions leveraged by warfighters, analysts, and senior decision-makers across the defense community.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of advanced automation and CI/CD pipelines using Python, Bash, Jenkins, and modern DevSecOps tooling.Architect, deploy, and secure complex AWS and hybrid cloud infrastructures supporting mission-critical systems.Drive containerization strategies; build, scale, and optimize Kubernetes environments across programs.Oversee certificate management, vulnerability remediation, and end-to-end security throughout the SDLC.Administer and optimize Linux environments for performance, reliability, and operational excellence.Solve highly complex cloud, infrastructure, and legacy system issues with senior-level technical rigor.Produce high-quality documentation, architectural diagrams, and operational runbooks.Collaborate with leadership, engineers, and customer stakeholders; provide mentorship and technical direction to junior team members.RequirementsU.S. Citizenship (required)Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (required)Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent experience7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, cloud engineering, or enterprise infrastructure rolesProven experience designing, securing, and maintaining AWS cloud environmentsStrong expertise in Python and Bash for automation, tooling, and pipeline integrationProficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platformsDeep experience administering and troubleshooting Linux systems in production environmentsSolid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, routing, firewalls, VPCs, load balancing, etc.)Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across cloud, infrastructure, and legacy environmentsStrong communication skills with the ability to interact with engineers, leadership, and customer stakeholdersIAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent), or willingness to obtain within one yearPreferred Skills & ExperienceExperience architecting and scaling Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration solutionsProficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)Hands-on experience securing cloud workloads, applying vulnerability remediation, and managing certificates/PKIExperience with hybrid cloud or on-prem to cloud integrationsFamiliarity with automated testing, TDD, code reviews, and secure pipeline designExperience building or maintaining monitoring and observability (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, etc.)Exposure to mission-critical defense or government programs, including compliance frameworksExperience writing high-quality architecture artifacts, runbooks, and operational workflowsAbility to mentor junior engineers, lead discussions, and influence technical directionExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools such as JIRAKnowledge of secure authentication and identity systems (IAM, SSO, LDAP, Active Directory)Why This Role MattersThis role places you at the center of mission-critical cloud and DevSecOps modernization for a major DoD partner.
