Quality Engineer

Delta Group Electronics seeks a Quality Engineer at its San Diego, California facility. The role focuses on implementing and coordinating activities related to quality standards across production processes, systems, materials, products, and parts. Salary: $80,000 – $95,000 annually, depending on experience. Responsibilities Apply knowledge of assembly and testing functions to review contracts and administer process development, implementation, and controls. Audit and report site processes using metrics. Implement user group standards across the site and support related projects. Mentor and train personnel on processes, tools, and philosophies. Support DFM development on new and existing customer projects and RFQs. Assess new components for manufacturing implementation. Support manufacturing tool design and implementation. Assist with new customer product introductions. Participate in cost‑reduction projects for specific processes. Validate process qualifications for new and existing processes. Review and ensure all customer technology requirements are met for quote activities. Perform any other assigned duties. Qualifications Education : Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; preferred with additional experience. Experience : 3–5+ years in electronics manufacturing, with surface mount and selective wave soldering highly preferred. Technical Skills Intermediate electronic assembly skills. Knowledge of thermal, mechanical, and material aspects (preferred). Operational knowledge (preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Other Skills Strong reasoning and problem‑solving abilities. Good decision‑making capabilities. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English. Basic math skills.
