Hardware Development Engineer Level 3

Job Title: Hardware Development Engineer Level 3 Location: Mayfield Heights, OH 44124 Contract length: 11-Month Contract Pay: $48/hr - $53.57/hr Hardware Development Engineer Level 3 Qualifications Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar technical degree At least 5 years of hands-on experience in cross-functional product development Preferred Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar technical degree Experience using design capture tools, able to read & understand schematics, and have in-depth knowledge of circuit theory and operation, including microprocessors, digital logic devices, analog and/or DC-power conversion, programmable devices (CPLDs, FPGAs) Hands-on experience with hardware test equipment including, but not limited to, debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers Knowledge of industrial control systems, programmable logic controllers, and/or functional safety design Experience working in a scaled Agile environment Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g. IEC61508) and/or EMC standards (e.g. IEC61000) Strong attention to detail and ownership Excellent written and verbal communication Growth mindset with willingness to learn, mentor and expand technical ownership Hardware Development Engineer Level 3 Description Collaborate on an agile team to design and develop new industrial automation products, including overall architecture and hardware verification Program, analyze, and troubleshoot electronic hardware prototypes Prepare product design documentation and test reports Lead technical initiatives such as researching new technologies, implementing new circuit design tools, and troubleshooting failures Work with technical peers to implement test automation and design simulation Build relationships across teams to deepen understanding of the product development lifecycle Mentor more junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices #EEMOS
