They are responsible for facilitating psychotherapeutic and educational substance use disorder related groups. LADC/SUD Counselors manage a caseload of clients including all required billing, clinical documentation, and related treatment plans in accordance with ASAM criteria, 245G requirements and RS EDEN policy and procedure. They work closely within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive SUD treatment services.LADC/SUD Counselors provide direct therapy, counseling, and assessment services within a modified Therapeutic Community (mTC). LADC/SUD Counselors need to be creative, flexible, and adaptable. Sound organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks are a must. They are responsible for facilitating psychotherapeutic and educational substance use disorder related groups. They manage a caseload of clients including all required billing, clinical documentation, and related treatment plans in accordance with ASAM criteria, 245G requirements and RS EDEN policy and procedure. They work closely within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive SUD treatment services. Ability to manage crisis situations in a professional and therapeutic manner is a must. This position is classified as a category 3 driving position.Pay ranges from $65,000-$80,000/annuallyThis position is 100% on-siteResponsibilitiesUtilize ASAM criteria to assess client strengths, needs, and SUD treatment level of careMake recommendations and referrals regarding client treatment plan needsWork collaboratively with client and clinical team to develop, implement, and maintain individual treatment plansPrepare required clinical documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner in accordance with 245G statutes and policy and procedureFacilitate individual and group therapy/counseling servicesMaintain contacts and attend meetings with collaborating agencies for purposes of supporting client goals and progressPromote and instill positive attitude and client engagementAs part of the therapeutic community, support client development of daily living and socialization skillsSupervise client recreational and community activities, when applicableMaintain clear and timely communication of client needs, behaviors, and care plans with other Recovery Services staffParticipate in speaking engagements or workshop presentationsPrepare case reviews for multidisciplinary clinical meetings for ongoing review and assessment of client progressAttend required trainingsSafeguard personally identifiable health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA and 42CFR standardsMaintain favorable driving recordMaintain and promote a safe, harmonious and productive work environmentPerform other duties as requiredQualifications/RequirementsRequired:Current Minnesota LADC or ADC-T licenseMinimum Associate degree in Substance Use Disorder Counseling or related field required1-2 years of experience or equivalent training in Rule 25 and/or Comprehensive AssessmentsAbility to relate to people from diverse backgrounds with multiple individual and systemic barriers to successCurrent Mantoux test. (Annual requirement thereafter)One year off correctional supervisionTwo years free of any problems associated with substance use.
