Quickbase Developer/Quickbase App Builder

Overview We are seeking a skilled and innovative Developer/Quickbase App Builder to join our dynamic technology team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining custom applications within the Quickbase platform to streamline business processes and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software development, system design, and cloud infrastructure, with a keen eye for creating scalable and robust solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to enterprise-level projects by leveraging modern programming languages, APIs, and agile development methodologies. It is a 6+ months contract and a remote position. Duties Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective Quickbase applications. Develop, customize, and optimize Quickbase apps using built-in tools and scripting capabilities to automate workflows. Integrate Quickbase solutions with external systems via RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless data exchange. Design scalable system architectures that support growth and high availability within cloud environments such as AWS or Azure. Implement best practices in software engineering, including version control (GitHub, SVN), CI/CD pipelines, and design patterns. Maintain comprehensive documentation of application architecture, workflows, and technical specifications. Conduct system testing, troubleshoot issues promptly, and perform regular updates to ensure security and performance. Support front-end development tasks using JavaScript frameworks like React or Express to enhance user interfaces. Participate in Agile software development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Ensure compliance with security standards such as RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and adhere to scalability principles for microservices architectures. Skills Proficiency in programming languages including JavaScript, Python, C#, C++, Java, and C. Strong understanding of web development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, RESTful APIs, and JavaScript frameworks. Experience with database management systems like MySQL and SQL Server; familiarity with system design for database scalability. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms including AWS and Azure for deploying scalable applications. Expertise in software design patterns, microservices architecture, and system development best practices. Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or SVN; experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps. Ability to develop applications using.NET frameworks or similar environments; experience with Linux-based systems is a plus. Understanding of IT infrastructure components relevant to application deployment and maintenance. Knowledge of quantum engineering concepts is advantageous but not mandatory.
