Please find the below job description and if you are interested, please forward your resume to alekhya@intellectt.com Role: Designer SUTLocation: Duncan, SCDuration: Contract/ Full time Job Description:New Component IntroductionCreate component images for use in 2D and 3D CAD software.Initiate, approve and monitor progress of joint tests to qualify component-to-component connections for further use in single use systems.Investigate and advise on correct component material status (restricted, non-preferred, preferred) when multiple components perform the same function.Review and design simple chamber customization requests (existing volume, technology, fitments).New Product Introduction (NPI) & Customer Specific Single Use SystemsTimely creation, development and release of sales & marketing, and manufacturing drawings for new Pall proprietary product introductions e.g. bio containers, mixers, bioreactors, standard systems.Liaise with sales to review, improve and release customer and manufacturing drawings for customer specific single use systems. Apply Design for Manufacturing & Assembly guidelines, and Preferred Component Strategy, when reviewing manufacturability of new single use systems and NPI.Quality & Continuous Improvement Create, Maintain and Improve Design Engineering SOPs for simple and/or local processes.Serve as a troubleshooter for the manufacturing team during production of single use systems.Support local MOC Liaise with the manufacturing team to improve First Time Right of production documentation (SAP, PDS, Drawing, Label) and reduce operator assembly error risks.Propose improvements to in-house 2D & 3D drawing software and documentation software support the software development, testing, and validation.Apply Danaher Problem Solving Process to resolve day to day problems.Support investigations to resolve customer complaints and complete corrective and preventive actions.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Knowledge of ERP systems is desirable, specifically SAP.Able to work on a range of assignments that do not necessarily fit existing processes and procedures.Experience with CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor/SolidWorks.Qualification:Bachelor’s degree in engineering e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Integrated Product Development, Industrial Design & Manufacturing or equivalent work experience.Additional experience within a manufacturing environmentCompetent with Microsoft Office applications. Knowledgeable in Excel is preferable.
