ELL Resource Teacher
DutiesProvide instruction of the core subjects in the student's native languageSet up and manage the teaching-learning process in an effective bilingual/bicultural environment.Obtain and demonstrate knowledge of general education curriculum, including grade level expectations and State standards.Consult and/or collaborate with general education teachers in the areas of assessment, curriculum adaptations, behavior management, and monitoring student progressPrepare and submit program information and reports as requested.Adhere to building and district policies and procedures.Establish developmentally appropriate instructional and behavioral expectations for students and self and communicate those to students and their familiesCreate lessons and learning environments that are safe, respectful, and interesting as well as multicultural/gender and ability fair/developmentally appropriate.Select, adapt, and individualize materials appropriate for diverse student populations and skill levels.QualificationsPossess a Bachelor's Degree (Education) or related field.
