If you have a deep understanding of diesel diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrical systems-and want autonomy while working with a high-performance team-this position is for you.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic components with minimal supervisionPerform scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspectionsKeep meticulous digital records of work performed and parts usedMaintain cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in the shop and yardProvide mentorship and guidance to junior mechanics as neededCommunicate proactively with fleet management and operations staffWhat You BringExperience: Minimum 3-5 years of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience required; prior fleet maintenance experience is strongly preferredTechnical Skills: Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting experience with engines, DEF systems, and aftertreatment; must supply own toolsHydraulic & Electrical Systems: Must be proficient in hydraulic and electrical repairEquipment Knowledge: Experience with vacuum trucks, hydro-excavators, or municipal fleet equipment a strong plusLicensing: Valid Driver's License required; CDL Class B or willingness to obtain within 6 months preferredIndependence: Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple prioritiesCommunication: Bilingual a plusWhat Sets You ApartYou take pride in precision and doing the job right the first timeYou stay cool under pressure and adapt to changing work prioritiesYou're confident in your skills but always looking to learn something newYou respect your tools, your team, and your timeYou show up on time, every time, and hold yourself accountableWhy You'll Love Working with UsEnvirowaste Services Group has over 20 years of experience in the storm and wastewater infrastructure industry.
