Duration: 13 weeks
Experience: *minimum 2-3 years' preferred with emphasis in PACU surgery.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their condition post-surgery
- Administer medications and manage pain relief as needed
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure continuity of care
- Assist with patient discharge planning and education
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
Skills:
- Experience working with dermal fillers and performing ostomy care is preferred
- Familiarity with ambulatory surgery center operations and workflows
- Proficiency in coding and billing practices related to PACU services
- Ability to provide specialized care for pediatric patients
- Knowledge of Athenahealth or similar EMR systems
- Competency in sonography for vascular access procedures
- Understanding of sterile processing techniques and equipment management
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) used in the PACU setting
Licenses/Certifications: RN, ACLS, BLS & PALS
