Maintenance Supervisor
Position Summary: The Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Lead is an hourly position. The incumbent’s primary duty is to ensure that all equipment and machinery in the plant’s production facilities are installed and maintained in optimum operating and safety condition. It is the responsibility of the incumbent to perform his/her regular scheduled maintenance functions with the minimum of disruption to the plant’s production process. The incumbent has to respond to emergency situations and perform work that cannot be performed during normal plant operating hours. Duties include maintaining preventative maintenance programs, spare parts inventory and prioritizing work of maintenance technicians.Reports To: Production ManagerSpan of Interaction: Maintenance Technicians, Production Manager, Team Leaders, outside contractors, QA Manager, R & D Manager and Operations Assistant.Skills and Temperament Requirements:5 years’ experience in a similar positionElectrical and mechanical attestation/certificateHands on experience in trouble shooting and repairing Machinery (extruders, grinders, mixers, chillers, compressors, refrigeration and air conditioning system)Strong observation, problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to read and follow complex instruction manuals, blueprints, schematics and electrical diagrams. Ability to use computer-aided drafting software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, to view blueprints and schematicsKnowledge and understanding of PLC programming language and computer systemsGood oral and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize work, keeping in mind that modifications and repairs to existing equipment and the installation of new equipment must be done promptly to minimize production down timeAbility to train others in the safe and proper operation and maintenance of equipment relative to their positionAbility to cope with stress and maintain a professional attitude while interacting with Protech employees and outside contractorsPowered by JazzHR5fLnIGzZ60
