Job Title: Compressor Development EngineerLocation: Verona, VAJob SummarySeeking a Compressor Development Engineer experienced in centrifugal compressor design, thermodynamics, CAE/CFD, FEA, testing, and reliability. The engineer will support compressor development from design through validation and product launch.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop single- and multi-stage centrifugal compressors.Perform gear, bearing, housing, rotor dynamics, stress, vibration, modal, and fatigue analysis.Apply thermodynamics and refrigeration principles to compressor design.Create engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T.Perform CAE/CFD/FEA simulations for performance and reliability.Develop and execute prototype, qualification, and validation tests.Analyze test results and establish pass/fail criteria.Apply DFMEA/PFMEA and DOE to identify and reduce design risks.Work with suppliers, manufacturing, design, and lab teams to ensure manufacturability and product quality.Support the complete product lifecycle from requirements and design to testing and launch.Prepare technical reports and project documentation.Must-Have SkillsCentrifugal Compressor DesignThermodynamics & RefrigerationCAE / CFD / FEARotor Dynamics & Structural AnalysisStress, Vibration & Fatigue AnalysisGD&T & Engineering DrawingsTesting & ValidationDFMEA / PFMEAMaterial Selection & ManufacturingStrong technical documentation and communication
