This position supports the overall campus culture by reinforcing expectations, building relationships with students, and modeling Fortune's Five Pillars.Behavior Technicians help prevent and de-escalate conflicts, monitor campus safety, and work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to promote a respectful and orderly environment conducive to learning.Requirements / QualificationsFor more information on Requirements/Qualifications, please contact the employer.Comments and Other InformationFor more information on Comments and Other Information, please contact the employer.Comments and Other InformationEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPromote a positive school culture rooted in respect, accountability, and student success.Build rapport with students to encourage appropriate behavior and engagement in school activities.Supervise campus areas (hallways, classrooms, restrooms, multipurpose rooms, playgrounds, etc.) to ensure student safety.Respond calmly and appropriately to behavioral incidents, applying restorative and supportive practices.Collaborate with administrators and instructional staff to implement behavior support plans and reinforce schoolwide expectations.Conduct safety and facility checks, reporting concerns promptly to appropriate personnel.Support arrival, dismissal, and transition times to maintain structure and order.Serve as a visible, approachable presence on campus and a positive role model for students.Maintain clear communication with the site principal and behavior support teams.Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the school.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of:Safety, supervision, and conflict prevention practices.Basic first aid and emergency response procedures.School policies, campus safety protocols, and child development principles.Skills and Abilities:Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.Communicate clearly and respectfully with diverse groups.Exercise sound judgment and discretion in sensitive situations.Work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed.Remain calm under pressure and resolve conflicts constructively.Maintain accurate reports and follow safety procedures consistently.Education and ExperienceRequired: High school diploma or equivalentPreferred: Some college coursework or experience in education, youth development, or behavioral supportCertifications (preferred but not required): CPR and First AidExperience working with youth in a school or community settingPhysical and Working ConditionsStanding and walking for extended periods of time; occasional running when responding to incidentsBending, kneeling, or reaching as necessary to assist studentsLifting up to 20 pounds safelyBoth indoor and outdoor work environments; may include varying weather conditionsSchedule: Monday - Friday, 7:15 AM to 4:15 PMFortune School of Education provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other protected characteristic.
