IDEXX VetConnect PLUS continues to break new ground in veterinary information management, and this is an excellent opportunity to become part of our growing, highly collaborative development team.IDEXX is seeking a Mobile Software Developer to join our R&D Diagnostic Software organization developing the next generations of world-class IDEXX diagnostic software. The successful candidate will have a background in software development with experience in mobile application development, including building applications in Flutter/Dart and contributing to backend services in Java.What can you expect?Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android using Flutter/DartContribute to backend services and APIs that support mobile application experiencesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancementsParticipate in evaluating business requirements for new systems and changes to existing systemsSupport efforts to improve application performance, usability, and reliabilityWork closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and designs into high-quality codeTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mobile applications and supporting servicesParticipate in code reviews and team discussions to maintain code quality, security, and performanceDocument code, technical designs, and application behavior to support team knowledge sharingFollow company development standards, engineering practices, and agile team processesWhat do you need to succeed?Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience1+ years of software development experience, including experience in mobile application developmentExperience developing applications with object-oriented programming languages such as Dart, Java, Kotlin, Swift, or similarExposure to or experience with Flutter/Dart for cross-platform mobile developmentUnderstanding of mobile application architecture and common design patternsExperience consuming RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend servicesFamiliarity with source control, testing practices, and CI/CD conceptsStrong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies and toolsStrong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile/scrum teamsExposure to tools and platforms such as Codemagic, Airship, LaunchDarkly, Datadog, or AWS is a plusWhat You Can Expect From UsBase salary range is $70,000-$85,000Opportunity for annual cash bonusHealth / Dental / Vision Benefits Day-One5% matching 401kOn the job training and career advancement opportunities (experience NOT required)Additional benefits including but not limited to financial support, pet insurance, mental health resources, volunteer paid days off, employee stock program, foundation donation matching, and much moreWhy IDEXX?We’re proud of the work we do, because our work matters.
