Fiber Splicer Technician Requirements: Have a minimum of 2 years direct experience in the field Be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Screening and Criminal Background Check Have a clean driving record and valid Driver's License Be willing to work flexible hours (days/nights/on call) Possess excellent analytical skills and ability to problem solve Ability to distinguish varying fiber colors. Essential Functions: General knowledge of cable installation practices Proficient in fiber terminating, splicing, and testing both inside and outside plant Responsible for the installation, termination, splicing, testing, certification and documentation of fiber optic cabling as well as related fiber optic maintenance activities Ability to read and understand complex prints for fiber slicing and equipment installations Have a desire and ability to support customer needs with strong attention to detail Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Must have 2 valid forms of ID, we use E-verify to check your right to work in the US Must be able to pass pre-employment Drug test Broadband Technical Resources is an EOE/Veterans/Disabled/LGBT employer.
