Performance Test Engineer

Performance Test Engineer CGI is seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to support the testing and validation of enterprise applications hosted in AWS based environments. This role is responsible for designing and executing performance testing strategies, developing test cases and automation scripts, analyzing application performance, tracking defects, and providing detailed reporting throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a strong background in performance and functional testing of Java and ETL applications, hands on experience with industry standard testing tools, and a solid understanding of Agile delivery practices. You will work closely with development, QA, and business teams to ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and quality standards before deployment.Required qualifications to be successful in this role:5+ years of experience in software testing with a strong emphasis on performance testingHands on experience testing applications built on AWS, Java, and ETL technologiesExperience developing performance test plans, test cases, test scripts, and automation frameworksStrong proficiency with JMeter, Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber for performance and automated testingExperience with AngularJS testing and KarmaFamiliarity with performance and test management tools such as LoadRunner and JIRASolid understanding of software testing methodologies, defect lifecycle management, and QA best practicesExperience working in Agile environments, with exposure to Waterfall and Iterative development modelsStrong SQL skills with hands on experience using Oracle and MS Access databasesComfortable working in Unix/Linux and Windows environmentsExperience generating test reports, analyzing performance results, and supporting continuous test automation initiativesStrong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skillsEducation: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information System or related fieldSkills:SQLWhat you can expect from us:Together, as owners, let's turn meaningful insights into action.
