We are looking for men and women of high character and grit who see the problems in youth basketball and want to join an elite team focused on a singular mission: to change the culture of youth basketball.And like the Seals, this job is not easy, glamorous, or often fun. In fact, it's really hard and very few have the desire, passion, and fortitude to make it work, but for those that do, it is often the most rewarding and fulfilling job of their career.Starting initially as a part-time paid position, we are looking for individuals who want to work in youth basketball full-time, as the goal for each and every City Director is to grow his/her city to the point where it can be a full-time job.Candidate Requirements:Have a strong knowledge of basketball with a passion for teaching, coaching, and mentoringMust be willing to commit time and effort outside of your full-time job to build PSB to one day being big enough to support a full-time City Director positionWork well with a team and are reliable, organized, and communicative. Can follow instructions to a T, are rarely late or absent, and communicate in a clear and timely manner with all stakeholdersConfidently and professionally manage and control all on-court and business operations of PSB in that cityAlways ensure the physical and psychological safety of all participantsUnderstand that you are the face of Pro Skills Basketball in your city and display values that align with PSBGenuinely care for children's developmentProvide and foster a positive and professional coaching environment for players, parents, and staffCandidate Responsibilities:Starting from scratch, build PSB in your city and work to grow the number of players/teams in your city year over yearHire, manage and retain the highest quality of coachesOrganize, arrange and communicate practice and game schedules for all teamsRegister teams for tournaments and leaguesFind gym space and manage all gym rental agreements for practices, clinics and workoutsKeep operating expenses in line with the city budgetExecute grassroots marketing strategiesContribute to PSB social media accounts according to PSB guidelinesWe repeat: This job is hard.
