Editorial Operations ManagerRole OverviewResident Media is seeking an Editorial Operations Manager to lead the daily execution, coordination, and performance of our digital editorial ecosystem.is an operational leadership position responsible for ensuring that content is produced, optimized, published, and aligned with both editorial standards and business objectives.You will act as the central hub between editorial, social media, freelancers, and brand partnerships—ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks and everything moves forward with clarity, quality, and consistency.Core Responsibilities1. Editorial Workflow & Daily OperationsOwn the daily content pipeline from intake to publicationEnsure consistent output of high-quality editorial content (target: 8–10+ pieces/day)Review, edit, and approve articles for tone, structure, SEO, and brand alignmentAssign content to internal team members and freelance writersMaintain a forward-looking content schedule to eliminate reactive publishing cyclesOversee weekend scheduling and automation of contentContribute to the daily editorial content2. Team Coordination & AccountabilityCoordinate:Internal contributors Freelance writersContent assistantsTrack expectations, deadlines, and deliverablesFollow up consistently to ensure execution without bottlenecksProvide feedback and elevate the quality of contributors over time3. Content Intake & Opportunity ManagementOversee editorial inboxes and content intake systemsEvaluate and triage:PR pitchesWriter submissionsClient content requestsAffiliate opportunitiesIdentify which opportunities should be:PublishedDeveloped into featuresRouted to salesDeclinedEnsure timely responses and professional communication with PR partners4. Publishing & Platform OversightOversee publishing on the websiteEnsure all articles include:Proper formattingSEO optimizationMetadataInternal linkingAffiliate integration where appropriateActivate and verify auto-distribution (LinkedIn, X, etc.)Maintain accuracy and handle post-publication updates or corrections5. Social Media Coordination (Oversight Level)Work alongside social media support to ensure alignment between content and distributionEnsure all published articles are properly promoted across platformsMaintain consistency in brand voice, visual standards, and posting cadenceCoordinate content repurposing (articles → posts → reels)6. Print & Feature CoordinationSupport the development of print issue content in collaboration with leadershipCoordinate interviews, profiles, and long-form featuresOrganize assets, drafts, and approvals for print productionEnsure alignment between print and digital storytelling7. Affiliate & Revenue-Aligned Content SupportCollaborate with affiliate and editorial contributors to:Identify monetization opportunitiesEnsure content supports revenue goals (without compromising integrity)Help prioritize content that drives both traffic and business value8.
