The selected individual will manage a team of actuation engineers responsible for delivering actuation systems to the missile, marine, and flight control segments.Honeywell Aerospace is a $10B+ SBG (Strategic Business Group) with 40,000 employees in over 125 domestic and international locations. We are a leading global aviation supplier designing, manufacturing, and distributing advanced electronic systems, products, and services to commercial, defense and space industries.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesProvide management oversight and technical leadership to ensure schedule performance, cost control and product development execution to meet technical requirements and key program deliverables.Actively manage customer commitments, support proposal activity, and provide input to product/technology roadmaps and cycle time reduction initiativesAs a people leader you will focus on Honeywell’s five pillars of a successful leader:Burning Platform: Demonstration of developing and delivering a compelling burning platform for your department. Support project execution excellence, and work proposals and quotes within all constraints.GBE/Strategy/ Business Acumen: Demonstrate understanding of your part in the competitive landscape, including full interaction with the Global Business Enterprise, product strategies, customer strategies, and competitive intelligence.QualificationsDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorizationYOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering10 years of Product Engineering experienceWe ValueMaster’s DegreeActuation product development experience and domain knowledge including requirement definition, product design and qualification for hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.Strong verbal and written communication skills including direct experience with customer interaction and management.Demonstrated leadership skills in a multi-disciplinary team environmentAbility to consistently make timely decisions, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness, even in the face of complexityEngineering development process knowledge and familiarity with standards (ARP4754, DO-160, DO-254, MIL-STD, etc.)Mechanical test integration experience is a plusSoftware/Firmware development experience and process knowledge is a plus
