Procurement Sourcing Lead

Job Summary High Bridge Solutions (HBS), located in southern New Jersey and south-central Indiana, is searching for a Procurement Specialist Lead to join our team. The primary focus of a Procurement Specialist Lead is to oversee the other procurement staff and assignments, provide procurement status during general program reviews, and interface with the Procurement VP. This job can be located in either Hainesport, NJ or Newberry, Indiana, based on the right candidate. In addition, Procurement Specialist Lead will be required to purchase material in accordance with the Bill of Materials (BOMs), negotiate supplier prices and payment terms, and evaluate and research initial and alternate suppliers. These suppliers will provide materials used primarily by the Department of Defense and other defense activities and organizations in the sustainment and overhaul of US military and commercial systems. Duties Lead the other members of the Procurement team to ensure that all procurement requirements are completed per schedule Assign work to the other members of the Procurement team with a view to balance workload and develop the team’s capabilities Identify suppliers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for materials required in support of platform BOMs Identify alternate sources of supply as required to ensure customer production and overhaul schedules are met, as well as mitigate any issues with Obsolescence and/or Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Supplies (DMSMS) Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns. Analyze industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies. Monitor Inventory Stock and identify reorder points. Help with preparation of proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions. Requirements Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role preferably within the aerospace and defense industry Proven experience as a functional leader particularly in Procurement Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions Good working knowledge of purchasing systems and strategies. Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills Able to read and interpret engineering drawings /plans Attention to Detail is paramount Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Experience using Inventory management systems. Experience in Fishbowl Inventory System is a plus. You must be flexible to work hours needed to finish projects assigned to you Ability to commute: Hainesport, NJ 08036: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work or the ability to commute or relocate to Newberry, Indiana.
