We’re investing in Developer Relations to earn credibility with the professional engineers building these systems.Professional developers have more choices than ever when building AI-driven workflows and agentic systems. They do not adopt platforms because of marketing — they adopt platforms because they trust the technical substance behind them.The Principal Developer Advocate will establish and grow UiPath’s credibility within professional developer ecosystems across North America.What You'll Do At UiPathThis is a senior, externally-facing DevRel role. You will:Build trust in high-signal developer communitiesCreate code-first assets that materially improve the developer journeyElevate the conversation around enterprise-grade orchestration, governance, and production readinessEarn and grow professional developer mindshare for the UiPath platform through authentic engagement, technical credibility, and a help-first approach.Developer Community EngagementDeliver 6+ earned talks or workshops annually at high-signal community conferences and meetupsBuild and maintain relationships across Python, JavaScript, AI, and integration-focused communitiesParticipate authentically in developer ecosystems (GitHub, Discord, Reddit, local meetups, industry conferences)Collaborate with the UiPath Community team to engage our MVPs and developers in our broader UiPath communityTravel approximately 20–30%, including your earned event presence and select UiPath developer eventsCode-First Developer EnablementPublish 2+ code-first developer assets each month that improve the developer journey, such as runnable repos, quick starts, opinionated examples, templates, and technical walkthroughsCreate concise technical demos that make complex capabilities approachableCollaborate with a dedicated production team (technical writers and video editing) that can scale your content into high-quality developer assetsPartner with the UiPath Product and Community teams to improve developer documentation and platform education materialsTechnical Thought LeadershipDemonstrate practical patterns for building, orchestrating, and governing AI-powered automations and agentsTranslate platform capabilities into credible, production-oriented examplesArticulate where enterprise requirements (security, auditability, reliability) meaningfully change architecture decisionsInternal Advocacy & InfluenceChampion the professional developer perspective internallySurface ecosystem trends, competitive signals, and developer friction pointsInfluence product direction through hands-on experimentation and field insightWhat You'll Bring To The Team8–10+ years across roles in Developer Relations, software development, developer advocacy, and/or leading a technical communityExperience representing a developer platform, API, SDK, cloud, AI, or infrastructure product externallyStrong hands-on proficiency in Python or JavaScriptHands-on experience building or contributing to production-grade software systems, integrations, or distributed architecturesDemonstrated public technical presence (conference talks, workshops, blog posts, GitHub repos, OSS contributions)Proven ability to earn trust with experienced engineersDeep developer empathy and a consistent “help first” mindsetStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems clearly and crediblyYou are not just a speaker.
