Fleet Maintenance Technician/Driver

JOB SUMMARYThe Fleet Maintenance Technician/Driveris a hybrid role that involves performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on campus vehicles and golf carts, as well as providing safe, courteous, and timely transportation for elderly residents.This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and mobility of our residents, while also supporting the efficient operation and longevity of our campus transportation fleet. The Fleet Maintenance Technician/Driver will possess a genuine interest in and concern for geriatric, chronically ill and/or disabled persons. Must be able to fluently communicate in or take or give direction or guidance in the English language.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerform scheduled preventive maintenance on golf carts and other campus vehicles (battery checks, oil changes, tire pressure, brake inspections, etc.).Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on electric and gas-powered golf carts.Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inspection records.Ensure all transportation vehicles are clean, charged/fueled, and in safe operating condition.Coordinate with vendors or mechanics for major repairs when necessary.Monitor parts inventory and notify supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.Provide courteous and safe transportation for elderly residents across campus.Assist residents in and out of the golf cart when needed, ensuring mobility and comfort.Maintain a clean and welcoming vehicle environment at all times.Adhere to all safety protocols and driving regulations while operating on campus grounds.Report any transportation incidents or vehicle issues promptly to management.Performs all other duties as assigned.
