They both have loyal patients which is why there is a need to split time equally between the locations in order to best serve our patient population.Your Job DutiesAssist OBGYN department clinicallySupport the team with front office responsibilities (answering phones, scheduling, and call backs when needed)Support Providers by checking patient vitals, rooming, stocking patient rooms, and assisting with procedures such as colposcopies, LEEPs, biopsies, and also educating patientsThe ideal candidate will be someone with previous experience working as a Medical Assistant, and has experience delivering exceptional patient care in an OBGYN department.RequirementsCompletion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsmanBLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)Preferred Experience/Specialized SkillsOne year of experience as an MA in an outpatient settingOBGYN clinic experienceExperience with scheduling appointments Experience assisting with proceduresBack office MA experienceExperience with insurance authorizationsAt Scripps Health, you will experience the pride, support and respect of an organization that has been repeatedly recognized as one of the nation’s Top 100 Places to Work.You’ll be surrounded by people committed to making a difference in the lives of their patients and their teammates.
