sandblasting, preparing surfaces, and applying coatings to large steel components, while being accountable for finish quality, durability, and adherence to specificationsWho Thrives Here (and Who equipment componentsGrind, clean, and prepare surfaces to meet coating specificationsEnsure proper surface profiles for coating adhesionPainting & Coating ApplicationMix and apply industrial coatings according to specificationsPrime and finish large steel components and assembliesMonitor environmental and application conditions for proper curingQuality & InspectionInspect finished surfaces for coverage, consistency, and durabilityCorrect defects and rework surfaces as neededEnsure finished product meets quality and customer standardsShop Support & SafetyMaintain paint equipment, tools, and storage areasFollow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental controlsCoordinate with production teams to meet schedules and deadlinesWhat We're Looking ForEducationHigh school diploma or GED requiredExperienceExperience painting structural steel, heavy equipment, or industrial components preferredExperience with sandblasting equipment strongly preferredTechnical SkillsKnowledge of industrial coatings, surface preparation, and finishing techniquesExperience with paint mixing, application, and inspection processesSkills & AttributesStrong attention to detail
