Role Description The Carpenter Shop Supervisor is a full-time, on-site position based in Windsor, CT. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the carpenter shop, including supervising projects, maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing deadlines. Responsibilities also include performing skilled carpentry tasks such as framing, finish carpentry, and the use of both hand and power tools to carry out construction and maintenance projects on the school campus. Qualifications Proficiency in Carpentry and Finish Carpentry techniquesExperience with Hand Tools and Power Tools commonly used in constructionSkills in Framing and basic structural constructionStrong organizational and project management abilities to oversee shop operationsAbility to ensure safety and maintenance of tools and equipmentExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailPrevious experience in a supervisory or leadership role is a plusHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in carpentry is beneficial
