Cashier and Kitchen Helper

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cashier and Kitchen Helper, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create a vibrant, welcoming environment for our customers. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our food truck at the San Leandro farmers market while also supporting our kitchen operations with food preparation and handling. Your multitasking skills will ensure smooth service, delicious meals, and satisfied guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, process transactions accurately, and handle POS operations efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure a positive customer experience. Assist in food preparation by portioning, slicing and assembling meals. Serve food to customers in a courteous and timely manner. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Basic knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques are advantageous for assisting in meal preparation. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is beneficial. Experience in customer service roles helps in creating positive interactions with guests. Location 300 Estudillo Ave San Leandro, CA 94577 We're a food truck inside the San Leandro farmers market. There may be opportunities to work at other locations as well including Walnut Creek, Antioch and Brentwood farmers markets. Hours Wednesdays 2pm - 8pm The San Leandro farmers market is seasonal and takes place weekly from April to October. Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 – 15.0 per week Benefits: Food provided Work Location: In person
