Experienced Fertilization Technician
Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Fertilization Technician to join our team, responsible for delivering expert lawn and plant care services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, landscaping, and turf health with hands-on experience using various tools and machinery. This role involves applying fertilizers, pest control treatments, and other lawn care solutions to ensure healthy and thriving lawns and landscapes. The technician will also engage in sales activities to promote our services and provide excellent customer service. A valid driver’s license and a strong knowledge of power tools are essential for this position. Michigan pesticide applicator license 3B is essential with the ability to expand.
Duties
Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and pest control treatments accurately according to safety guidelines and client specifications
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment used in fertilization and pest control applications
Drive company vehicles to various job sites while adhering to safety protocols
Assist in assessing client needs and recommend appropriate fertilization or pest control solutions
Maintain detailed records of treatments applied and follow-up schedules
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards during all operations
Support sales efforts by providing technical expertise during client consultations
Experience
Proven experience in lawn care, landscaping, agriculture, or farming environments
Knowledge of pest control methods and fertilization techniques
Familiarity with land management practices and the use of hand tools, power tools, and various other equipment.
Prior experience in sales or customer service is a plus but not required
Ability to operate vehicles safely and efficiently with a valid driver’s license - Chauffeurs License preferred.
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to chemical application and equipment handling
