Kitchen Manager / Back of House ManagerLocation: Safety Harbor, FL Position Overview: We are seeking an organized, systems-driven Kitchen Manager to oversee daily back-of-house operations in a high-volume, upscale restaurant environment. This role is responsible for leading kitchen staff, managing inventory and food cost controls, and ensuring consistent execution during service and prep operations. The ideal candidate is experienced with modern kitchen systems, inventory management, ordering platforms, and kitchen display systems (KDS). They should thrive in fast-paced environments, maintain high operational standards, and effectively lead teams under pressure. Key Responsibilities Oversee all back-of-house operations during prep and service Lead and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, station coverage, and prep execution Maintain cleanliness, organization, and consistency across all kitchen stations Manage ordering, inventory, receiving, and product rotation processes Track food cost, waste, and operational performance metrics using Excel and kitchen systems Ensure smooth operation of kitchen technology, including KDS, digital ordering, and inventory platforms Maintain appropriate prep levels and adjust pars based on business volume and trends Monitor kitchen efficiency and ensure timely, high-quality food execution Enforce food safety, sanitation, and operational standards at all times Qualifications 3+ years of kitchen management experience in an upscale or high-volume restaurant Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required Experience with modern kitchen systems required, including KDS, digital ordering, and inventory platforms Strong understanding of food cost management, inventory control, and kitchen operations Demonstrated job stability and consistent work history Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Preferred Traits Hands-on leadership style with strong problem-solving skills Calm and efficient under pressure Strong operational discipline and sense of accountability Ability to recognize business patterns and adjust quickly to operational needs Team-oriented mindset with a focus on consistency and execution More detail about Tampa Bay Hospitality part of Tampa Bay Hospitality, please visit
