The position requires a BS and 10+ years of experience. No degree with 15+ years of experience also welcome to apply.The position is located at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s William J. Hughes Technical Center adjacent to the Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey. 3 days onsite/2 remote.ResponsibilitiesDesigns and evaluates end-to-end systems through their entire life cycleConducts comprehensive technology research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in cyberspace systemsHeading and implementing Oracle Linux Virtual Manager to replace VMWareBuilding KVM hosts and oracle linux virtual manager hostImplementing Stig patches on the environment to comply with the FAA standardsArchitecting and installing new products to replace old antiquated softwareConducts risk assessment and provides recommendations for application designInstalling and configuring Oracle Goldengate into environmentsIntegrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cybersecurity architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis and relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations and resolves integration/testing issuesCoordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testingContributes to completion of specific engineering programs and projectsDevelops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problemsPerform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the endOversees complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management toolsPerforms complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysisPerforms continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problemsPrepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projectsAssist senior engineers and field service engineering staffCreate and maintain system architecture and troubleshooting documentationMonitor, analyze, & report information on system performance; identify inefficiencies, issues, and bottlenecksPrepare plans and assessments, such as management engineering plans, integrated support plans, meeting presentations and implementation plansDevelop integrated system requirements and proposed design solutionsResearch and documents analysis in technical reports and presents findings and recommendations to meet program requirementsAnticipate and addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platformsQualificationsAdvanced Linux experienceExperience utilizing systems engineering and work management tools such as Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)Analytical and problem-solving skillsInterpersonal skills to interact with team members and customersAbility to travel when neededDependableMust be US Citizen or Permanent ResidentSST offers competitive salaries and 100% paid benefits including health, vision, & dental insurance that start day one. 401K with match.
