Data Center Program Manager
Overview
In this role you will lead and deliver capital and operating projects that keep AWS data centers reliable and efficient. You’ll coordinate cross-functional teams, partners, and stakeholders to design, plan, and deploy improvements in electrical, mechanical, and safety systems. You’ll drive schedules, budgets, and quality, translating data into actionable actions that reduce risk and costs. This position offers the chance to influence large-scale infrastructure and work across internal and external partners in a fast-paced, governance-driven environment.

ResponsibilitiesManage requirements, budget, design, and implementation of assigned projectsDevelop rolling 18-month project forecast from maintenance needsCoordinate SOWs with partner teams including RFQ/RFPs, change orders, purchase orders and invoicingAssess on-site partner performance and escalate issues to Amazon leadershipIdentify design improvements and communicate needsMonitor and enforce schedules and quality with operations, cross-functional teams, and partnersLead design and execution efforts with internal and external teams on equipment, material flow, process design, and site layoutAssess project risks and propose resolutionsBuild strong relationships with data center leadership and stakeholders across multiple sites
Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldExperience taking new design concepts through to deployment or mass productionExperience with MS Excel, Word, and Windows OSExperience with power management and power monitoring systemsDetail-orientedSelf-motivatedExcellent communicatorKnowledge of data center equipment and operationsAbility to read elastic engineering documentation and electrical diagramsFamiliarity with building codes and safety standards (Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA)
