Quality Engineer
Overview
As a Quality Engineer at Flex in Milpitas, you will uphold and enhance quality programs across the organization. You partner with Product Engineers and Quality Managers to resolve quality issues and ensure data integrity, reporting, and compliance. You lead inspection design, data capture, and corrective actions to drive reliable product quality and manufacturing excellence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support customer interfaces and audits, shaping robust quality standards. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement standards for inspection, testing, and evaluationDesign sampling procedures and forms for recording quality dataLead corrective actions for discrepant materials and assess associated costsOversee data collection and reporting of quality resultsTrain staff on quality control activities and auditsCoordinate with Product Engineers and Quality Program Managers on quality issues with customersEnsure data availability and integrity of quality data across systemsDevelop and maintain quality standards for processing materials into finished or semi-finished productsInspect and evaluate precision/accuracy of products and equipmentReview returns and reports to recommend corrective actionsOversee equipment qualifications and regulatory liaisonApprove product, process, and equipment qualificationsSupport development of quality audits and participation in regulatory processes
Key requirementsBachelor in related field or equivalent experience5+ years of engineering experience in high technology electronics or related fieldExperience in electronics manufacturing / SMT / PCB assemblySystems level integration experienceLiquid cooling experience preferredcommunication with cross-functional teamsproblem solvingattention to detailquality engineeringinspection and testing methodsdata integrity and reporting
