CDL-A Home Daily Cement Mixer Driver

Job Description: $21-25 per hour with $31.50-$37.50/hr for overtime hours over 40. Pay depends on prior CDL-A experience Monday-Friday usual schedule, some weekends may be required for coverage. Home every day, local runs Ready Mix Cement mixer CDL-A driver $1,000 sign on bonus for new hires! $500 up front, $500 after 90 days of employment. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of ready mix/haul trucks. Deliveries will be made in both industrial and residential areas. CDL-A required, 1 year of CDL-A experience preferred but not required Essential Functions: Deliver material as customer specifies, after determining customer’s requests are safe and possible. Communicates truck/job status to dispatch professionally and maintain good public relations with customer. Maintain the appearance of truck, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels, oil, hydraulic, coolant and fuel. Perform minor repairs to truck as needed. Maintain load in transit to job. Adds fiber reinforcement and other additives to load as directed. Inspects load during wash down, reports any problems after proper mix time of 3-5 minutes. Complete washout procedures both during and at end-of-day; cleans truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck; may spray surfaces of truck with protective compound to prevent adhering of concrete. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections during allotted time to ensure safe operation of truck and mixer. Ensure that safety, compliance, environmental and DOT requirements are followed at all times. Adhere to designated schedule and request PTO/Vacation in appropriate manner, as well as call in according to policy. (call in 1hr before shift start time and 2wk for PTO/vacation requests, requests aren’t guaranteed and await approval to confirm plans). Performs other duties and projects as assigned. This is a Van Eaton Ready Mix “safety sensitive” position.
