The Medical Health Technician will play a vital role in assisting healthcare professionals, monitoring client health, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for individuals recovering from mental health and substance use disorders.Key Responsibilities:Assist medical and clinical staff with patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and medication administration (as per licensure and regulations).Observe and report patient behavior, symptoms, and progress to the appropriate medical personnel.Support clients in their daily routines, ensuring adherence to program guidelines.Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and documentation.Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support when necessary.Ensure a safe and clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols.Educate and support clients regarding treatment plans, medication adherence, and coping strategies.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and program effectiveness.Qualifications & Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).Previous experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or medical settings is highly desirable.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate care.Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation.CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.Must pass background checks and meet state/federal compliance requirements.About Woodland Recovery:Woodland Recovery is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective treatment for individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges.
