Software Test Engineer

Job Title: Test AnalystLocation: West Sacramento, CA (Hybrid/Onsite) - Locals neededDuration: 24+ Months ContractJob Description:We are looking for experienced Test Analysts with strong expertise in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, SDLC, Data Validation, and Enterprise Application Testing. The consultant will support complex software projects and pension/data quality initiatives by developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies and ensuring high-quality deliverables.Responsibilities:Develop and execute test plans, test strategies, test cases, and test scripts.Perform System Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Performance Testing, Load Testing, and UAT.Analyze test results, identify defects/anomalies, and coordinate defect resolution.Prepare and manage test data, testing environments, and testing harnesses.Work closely with business and technical teams to gather and validate testing requirements.Perform data validation and legacy data conversion testing.Generate SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, views, and data validation scripts.Utilize defect tracking tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, Bugzilla, and JAMA.Provide weekly/monthly status reports and testing documentation.Support continuous improvement of QA processes and testing frameworks.Required Qualifications:10+ years of IT experience with strong focus on Software Testing and QA.5+ years of experience in:Test Planning & StrategyTest Case/Test Script DevelopmentDefect Tracking & ReportingTest Data PreparationRegression & Performance Testing3+ years of experience in:Data Quality activitiesLegacy Data Conversion ValidationStrong SQL Server/T-SQL experience including:Stored ProceduresTriggersUser Defined FunctionsViewsHands-on experience with SDLC methodologies and enterprise QA processes.Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting business testing activities and producing reports.Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Formulas, Charts).Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Ability to work in hybrid/on-site model in West Sacramento, CA.Skills Required:Software Testing | QA | SDLC | SQL | T-SQL | JIRA | HP ALM | JAMA | UAT | Regression Testing | Performance Testing | Data Validation | Defect Tracking | Test Automation
