This is a salaried/hourly position.OSF will invest in you on day 1! Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive 24 hours of Vacation and Holiday time that will be available for use beginning day 1. This is in addition to our generous time-off benefits.OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY:The Physical Therapist Assistant, under the general supervision of a Physical Therapist, assists in administering the Physical Therapists' treatment plan.QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education:* Associate's degree in Physical TherapyLicensure/Certifications:Respective state license as Physical Therapy Assistant.CPR certification within 90 days of hireValid Driver's License & Insurance (Home Care only)Other skills/knowledge:Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the population served.Strong written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with patients and families and accurately document care in EMR.Communicates effectively with other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information.Analytical ability to identify and report changes in patient's condition to a physical therapist.Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.Experience in working with electronic medical records.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* One year experience in hospital or Home Care settingOSF Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
