Role Description As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide compassionate and personalized care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and within the local community. This is a part-time, on-site role located in Ambler, PA. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living skills, supporting community engagement, providing transportation, helping with personal care tasks, and actively participating in training and development activities to ensure the best care for clients. You will foster a positive and encouraging environment, promoting independence and respectful communication. Qualifications Strong background or experience in Human Services and assisting individuals with Intellectual DisabilitiesExcellent Interpersonal Skills and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals and their support systemsProficient Communication skills to effectively convey information and listen activelyCapability and willingness to participate in ongoing Training sessions and learn best practices to provide optimal careHigh levels of compassion, patience, and adaptabilityReliable transportation and a valid driver's license are preferredPrevious experience in a direct support role or similar position is an advantage
