Principal .NET Engineer
Overview Position: Principal .NET Engineer
Company: Apex Systems
Location: Miami, FL - hybrid (open to remote)
Duration: 6 month contract with potential extension
Responsibilities Assist with the remainder of the .NET to .NET Core migration. Address remaining issues in the core framework and provide hands-on work with thought leadership in standards and approaches.
Act as a principal/architect level resource with experience in .NET & C#, focusing on .NET Core (version 5 and up).
Support the transition to a centralized logging system (Splunk, Elasticsearch, etc); work with monitoring, observability tools, open telemetry, and distributed logging. The role is primarily on-premises with limited cloud work.
Collaborate with Tech Leads of scrum teams as a technical leader for .NET and logging/observability, infra development, and automated/unit testing.
Must Haves 7+ years' experience in .NET Core – (v. 5+)

Experience implementing a centralized Logging/observability system
Automated testing – unit testing/integration testing within code – XUnit, MSTest, etc., including mocking
