IT Support Specialist

PURPOSE The purpose of this document is to outline the requirements for the position of “Information Technology Support Specialist”. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Description The Information Technology Support Specialist position requires this person to perform a variety of computer support tasks associated with troubleshooting problems with hardware or software, teaching users on new programs and ensuring a smooth operation of computer functions within all ACI departments and locations. This position will take direction from the IT Manager as well as CFO and Senior Management and will translate these directions into working practice. Education Preferably high school diploma or equivalent Experience 1-3 years or relatable experience Duties Help company’s departments utilize information systems to improve their efficiency. Establish and maintain inventory of all computers, printers, etc. and establish replacement program for older and outdated units. Price and order when necessary approved unit purchases and install as required. Provide functional and technical support, troubleshoot, and diagnose hardware and software problems. Participate in company storm preparation, lock down, and reinstatement activities to minimize impacts and maintain business continuity. Configure and troubleshoot network issues with routers, switches, and cabling, ensuring reliable and secure network connectivity. Assist with server maintenance and network administrative activities. Provides exemplary helpdesk support via various channels (telephone, live chat, ticketing system) for prompt issue resolution. Assists in rollouts of new equipment deployments, including computers, monitors, printers, peripherals, and desk phones. Implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) technologies (e.g., Microsoft Authenticator App) and create comprehensive systems and end-user documentation. Maintain software and hardware patching on company assets. Manages supplies stock, supply orders and external support tickets for all leased printers.
