This position is ideal for a scholar-practitioner whose work integrates teaching, research, and service to advance equitable behavioral health systems and outcomes.Job DutiesTeachingTeach graduate-level MSW courses related to behavioral health, including but not limited to: Substance Use Disorders and Co-Occurring DisordersBehavioral Health Assessment and InterventionTrauma-Informed, Recovery-Oriented, and Harm Reduction ApproachesIntegrated Behavioral Health PracticeAdvanced Practice or Policy electives aligned with SUD and OUDContribute to curriculum development and ongoing program assessmentAdvise and mentor MSW students in academic and professional developmentResearch and ScholarshipMaintain an active research agenda focused on behavioral health, SUD, OUD, or related areasPublish in peer-reviewed journals and present at professional conferencesPursue external funding to support research and programmatic initiativesEngage in interdisciplinary and community-based research collaborations aligned with the MSW Department's missionServiceParticipate in MSW Department, School, and University service activitiesContribute to accreditation, assessment, and program development effortsSupport community partnerships and professional service related to behavioral health and substance use treatmentKnowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other CharacteristicsClinical social work licensure or license eligibilityPractice experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment settingsHistory of or strong potential for external grant fundingExperience teaching in online or hybrid MSW programsFamiliarity with CSWE accreditation and assessment processesExperience working with urban communities and historically marginalized populationsRequired Minimum QualificationsPhD or DSW in Social Work or a closely related discipline from an accredited institutionDemonstrated expertise in behavioral health with emphasis on substance use disorders and or opioid use disorderEvidence of effective graduate-level teaching or strong teaching potentialRecord of peer-reviewed scholarship appropriate for appointment at the Associate Professor rankCommitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and equity-centered social work educationJ-18808-Ljbffr
