This role provides foundational training in assembly operations, quality standards, and safety protocols while developing technical skills for career advancement within the assembler career path.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssemble basic components and parts following step-by-step instructions and guidance from supervisor or senior assemblersUse basic hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, wire strippers, crimpers) safely and appropriately under supervisionAssist with equipment mounting and rack installation tasks as directedPerform visual inspections to ensure parts and assemblies meet quality standards and specificationsConduct basic go/no-go testing as directed by work instructionsIdentify and report quality issues, defects, equipment problems, or safety concerns to supervisor immediatelyMaintain clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with 5S standards and safety protocolsFollow all safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and electrostatic discharge (ESD) proceduresAccurately track time and record production activities in company ERP systemsParticipate actively in training programs to develop assembly skills, technical knowledge, and safety awarenessWork collaboratively with team members and ask questions proactively to ensure understanding and prevent errorsPackage assembled products and components carefully to prevent damage during transportation and storageFollow company policies, procedures, and work instructions at all timesMaintain regular attendance and demonstrate reliabilityPerform other duties as assigned to support assembly operationsManagerial ResponsibilityNo direct reportsNo supervisory responsibilitiesFocus is on individual skill development and learningTravel/Shift RequirementsNo travel requiredAbility to work standard shift hours with occasional flexibility as neededOvertime may be required during peak production periodsPunctuality and reliability are essentialPhysical DemandsAbility to lift and/or push up to 40 lbs safelyAble to stand for two or more hours at a timeManual dexterity for handling small components, connectors, and using hand toolsVisual acuity for inspecting assemblies, reading labels, and following work instructionsAbility to work in manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and conditionsRepetitive hand and arm movements for assembly tasksAbility to bend, stoop, and reach as required for assembly workSkills and Abilities RequiredAbility to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and completelyBasic mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in learning technical skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipBasic computer skills for data entry, email, and system navigationEffective communication skills to ask questions, report issues, and collaborate with teamAbility to work both independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively as part of a teamStrong work ethic, reliability, and professional attitudeWillingness and enthusiasm to learn new technologies, procedures, and assembly methodsBasic math skills for measurements, counts, and simple calculationsTime management and organizational skillsAbility to accept constructive feedback and apply it to improve performanceSafety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety protocolsEducation and Experience RequiredHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required0-1 year of experience in manufacturing, assembly, electronics, or related fieldOR equivalent combination of education and experienceWillingness to participate in comprehensive on-the-job training programsAbility to demonstrate basic competency in using hand toolsEducation and Experience PreferredPrevious experience in electronics, telecommunications, or manufacturing environmentBasic knowledge of hand tools and their safe applicationFamiliarity with technical drawings, schematics, or blueprintsCompleted vocational/technical coursework in electronics, telecommunications, or related fieldExperience with quality inspection or testing proceduresUnderstanding of ESD protocols and procedures
