Assist with installation as necessary. Supervise approximately 5-6 Installers. The crew will be responsible for installing wireless access points, electrified door hardware, access control panels, analog and IP cameras, camera servers (NVR), power supplies, cable pathway systems and various structured cabling systems including, but is not limited to, fiber optic cabling systems, twisted pair cable, low voltage cable and coax Installations are performed in both new construction and retrofit scenarios in a variety of environments.Essential Functions Supervise and provide hands on support for:Installation of structured cabling systems (copper, fiber, low-voltage) Installation of network switches, wireless access points and other IP devices PhysicalInstallation of various CCTV; analog and IP cameras Installation of various types of NVR’s and VMS platforms Installation of cable pathway systems Installation, termination, testing, labelling and documenting horizontal, backbone and other cablesAttends job site weekly meetings Schedule and supervise installers each day on the job sitesTool box topicsDaily reports on job sitesUse tools properly to ensure safety and protect quality of doors and hardwareReport any damaged products to supervisorAnalyze drawings, sketches, work orders and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assemblyOrganize and document safety training, drug screens, other documents needed depending on contract Liaison between Installers and Project Managers Keep detailed record of installation requirements/project specs to ensure each installation is performed correctly and efficiently Other duties as assigned by supervisorMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred Must be able to lift/carry 25-50 lbs. frequentlyExperience using power tools, such as saws and drills Industry experience with installation of building materials preferred Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesMust have strong math skills, communication skills, problem solving skillsAbility to read and interpret a tape measureAbility to determine what type of tool and equipment are needed for a jobPhysical DemandsThis position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment. The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening. Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required.Work EnvironmentThis role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions. These may include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware.
